Declawing

We do not allow the declawing of kittens that we place because we personally find declawing to be cruel and we abide by the rules of CFA. Many cats that are declawed normally have a drastic change in their personality and they also are more likely to get infections. We encourage the kittens to play and scratch on a scratching post. This behavior is learned by watching the mother and, of course, a treat now and then on top of the post is a good method for teaching the kitten the proper place to stretch and scratch.
